Gibson Les Paul n.1 1958 The one hundred and fifty Gibsons without autographs on the headstock but with the word PAGE printed and the serial number. The version custom authenticated aged marked JPP with serial numbers. This model is identical to the one hundred and fifty pieces first twenty-five with authentic aging. The first sold for $ 55,000, surprised even the employees of the Gibson custom shop. All Gibsons with aging procedure are identical to its original starting of the shape of the handle, every little dent, scratch of the paint and cigarette burns has been reported on the guitar. Jimmy Page has inspected and played all the Gibsons one by one until all of them sounds like the original. The wiring of the pickups is identical to the original circuit, so the center position to be in phase. In 2004 I had a chance to buy the aged version of the number fourteen Boston for $ 14,000, it was a big mistake not to take it, but at that moment I had not the possibility to do it. My personal number is the Aged 5 of the 150, a true masterpiece. I bought the guitar in Germany. I don’t tell the purchase price... you can imagine why. |
